The Implementation Committee’s role is to develop the initial institutional structure for the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB).
The Implementation Committee’s work serves the public interest by:
- defining and codifying key governance and due process considerations;
- managing the recruitment process for the Chair and members of the CSSB;
- providing transitional oversight of the CSSB until decisions on a permanent oversight structure are made; and
- establishing a robust structure that will support the development of standards in the public interest that can be adopted by various sectors in Canada.
