Deidre (Dee) Henne is the Chief Executive Officer at Lead, a company focused on financial sustainability advisory services supporting public sector organizations. Previously, Dee served as McMaster University’s Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Vice-President of Administration, where, throughout her leadership, she led transformational process changes focused on sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures. Dee has also co-led and published research on Canadian responsible investing practices and policy integration. She has over 20 years of experience and has held several positions at Hamilton Health Sciences, including Chief Operating Officer of the Population Health Research Institute.
Dee’s career service includes chairing the Council of Ontario Finance Officers from 2017 to 2021. She served on the boards of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Community Care Access Centre and the Human Resources Professionals Association. She was also on the Participatory Budget Committee for her municipality on an inaugural Hamilton Ward 1.
Dee has been a Chartered Professional Accountant since 2001 and earned an MBA from Western University in 2009.
