Role & Responsibilities
The role and responsibilities of the AASB Steering Committee includes the following:
- enhancing the speed and effectiveness of AASB operations;
- counselling and advising staff on activities and projects between AASB meetings or when matters clearly do not require discussion at AASB meetings;
- providing advice on proposed changes to the AASB’s governance documents, working procedures and practices to support effective Board operations and governance.
Meetings
The Steering Committee typically meets in the month before an AASB meeting.
Membership
The Committee consists of:
- a subset of AASB members, including the Chair of the AASB.
