France Lessard

France Lessard joined the Office of the Auditor General of the City of Laval as Auditor General in January 2024. For the previous seven years, she served as Assistant Auditor General at the Office of the Auditor General of the City of Montreal, where she was involved in financial audits of the Ville de Montréal and all the agencies included in the reporting entity for which the Office of the Auditor General acts as auditor.

She has more than 35 years of experience in financial auditing, including more than 27 years for a major accounting firm, nearly 10 years of which were as an Associate. Throughout her career, she has primarily worked in financial auditing for public sector agencies in the municipal health and social services field, as well as for municipal and private retirement funds, state-owned companies, mutual funds, and not-for-profit organizations.

France is also a member of the sectoral working group for municipal administrations and sits on the sectoral working group for the health and social services network of the Ordre des CPA du Québec. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a certificate in real estate business from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is a member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec, as a CPA auditor.
