Risk Mitigation Accounting Working Group

About the Working Group

The Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) created the Risk Mitigation Accounting Working Group to support its involvement in the International Accounting Standards Board’s (IASB) Risk Mitigation Accounting project. The Group provides expertise to assess the impact of IASB proposals and ensure Canadian interested and affected parties’ perspectives are considered.

Members

The Group consists of:

  • a Chair, appointed by the AcSB; and
  • 10 to 16 members with diverse backgrounds and expertise, including preparers, users, accounting practitioners, and regulators specializing in financial services, risk management, and/or insurance.

Meetings

The Group meets as needed. These meetings are not open to the public.
