Darlene Dasent is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at University Health Network (UHN) – Canada’s number-one hospital, the world’s number-one publicly funded hospital, and the number-three hospital in the world, consisting of 10 sites and more than 44,000 TeamUHN members united in the mission for A Healthier World. As the key business enabler and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership teams, Darlene is critical to the growth and sustainability of UHN’s nearly $4 billion business.

Recognized for her strategic acumen and unique multidisciplinary background spanning finance, accounting, supply chain, manufacturing, and consulting, Darlene is a sought out thought leader in the public and private sectors.

Prior to UHN, Darlene worked with flagship organizations, including accounting and advisory services. Named to the Women’s Executive Network list of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2018, Darlene has over 30 years of experience and has been instrumental in developing financial oversight models.

Darlene is a CPA and CA, and holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Ottawa and a psychology degree from Carleton University. She has also completed several high-profile leadership programs at the University of Toronto, Queen’s University, and Western University.
