About the Event

Catch the on-demand recording of “Sustainability Disclosure in Canada: Overcoming the Headwinds,” a live panel discussion hosted by the CSSB and UN Principles of Responsibility (UN PRI) during Canada Climate Week Xchange, in November 2025.

The panel brought together Canadian regulators and sustainability leaders to explore the value, challenges, and future of sustainability reporting in Canada. Key themes included:

  • The continued importance of the CSSB’s globally aligned, high-quality sustainability disclosure standards (CSDS 1 and CSDS 2) in helping Canadian companies remain resilient and competitive, despite headwinds.
  • The advance of sustainability disclosure frameworks around the world and their impact on seizing sustainability-related opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • The urgent need for Canadian companies to continue developing the capacity and capabilities required on the path to full compliance with CSDS 1 and CSDS 2.

Participants engaged in a rich discussion and connected with peers and decision-makers shaping the future of sustainability disclosure.

As our Chair, Wendy Berman, said “You do not need to be perfect – you need to be rigorous.”

Thanks to UN PRI for co-hosting this important conversation and to everyone who joined the discussion.
