External Committees
The CSSB approved the creation of two external advisory committees, the Sustainability Standards Advisory Committee and the Technical and Implementation Advisory Committee, and the terms of reference for both committees subject to the incorporation of member feedback.
Strategic Plan, Feeback Statement, and revised 2026 Annual Plan
The CSSB reviewed and approved the 2025-2028 Strategic Plan and accompanying Feedback Statement for submission to the Reporting and Assurance Standards Oversight Council. The CSSB revised and approved revisions to the fiscal year 2026 Annual Plan to align with the final Strategic Plan.
Indigenous Peoples Educational Module
As part of the CSSB’s ongoing multimodal and multidisciplinary educational program on trust and relationship-building with Indigenous Peoples, the CSSB was joined by a First Nation educator who provided a presentation on First Nations, Metis, and Inuit cultural, geographical, legal, and political diversity.
Indigenous Peoples Priority Committee
The CSSB’s internal Indigenous Peoples Priority Committee – which was formed to advance the objectives of Priority B (namely, including Indigenous Peoples in sustainability disclosure standard setting) of the CSSB’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan – updated the Board on its work. More specifically, the Committee discussed options, timelines, and considerations for its continued work.
Proposed SASB Standards Amendments
The CSSB reviewed the progress and next steps for the engagement plan on the International Sustainability Standards Board’s Proposed Enhancements to the SASB Standards.
