Scott is a partner in the National and Global Corporate Reporting Services group at PwC Canada, based in the Calgary office. He has significant technical experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Accounting Standards and sustainability-related standards, as well as U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.
He is currently the global leader of PwC's Oil and Gas, Mining and Utilities Accounting Industry Group and the IFRS Environmental, Social, and Governance Financial Reporting Working Group, which focuses on interconnectivity between financial reporting and sustainability reporting. Previously, he was deputy global leader of PwC's financial instrument accounting group.
Scott began working in PwC Calgary’s office in 2009. He also spent two years with PwC’s Global Accounting Consulting Services central team. He is a member of the Alberta Securities Commission Financial Advisory Committee.
He is an active contributor to and reviewer of PwC’s Global IFRS Manual of Accounting, Financial Reporting in Oil and Gas, Mining and Utilities, and PwC's Sustainability Reporting Guide, which set out PwC’s position on the application of IFRS Accounting Standards and sustainability-related standards.
