Kris Frederickson

Kris Frederickson is the General Manager, Sustainability at Keyera, one of Canada’s largest midstream energy companies. He leads a team responsible for enabling best-in-class environmental, social, and governance performance through strategic alignment, the implementation of sustainability best practices, and stakeholder engagement. Previously, he has held sustainability roles with Suncor Energy and MEG Energy.

Kris holds an undergraduate and master's degrees in biosystems engineering from the University of Manitoba, as well as an MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership from Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business.

In addition to his professional work, Kris is an active volunteer. Most recently, he served as a member of the Board of Governors for the University of Calgary, where held the positions of vice-chair of the board and chair of the Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Committee.
