Erin Rao

Erin Rao is a consultant specializing in IFRS® Accounting Standards and provides services related to the following: financial reporting, technical accounting, transaction support, transition to new standards, and improvement in finance processes and controls. Erin works with global, multi-entity clients in various sectors and industries. She teaches professional development courses for CPA British Columbia, and has been an adjunct professor at UBC Sauder School of Business. She has authored courses, finance and accounting materials, and cases. Erin has been a member of the AcSB’s IFRS Accounting Standards Discussion Group since 2019.

Previously, Erin worked in the Netherlands as Vice President of Group Finance at ABN AMRO Bank N.V, and managed the successful adoption of IFRS Accounting Standards for head-office reporting. Erin was also a vice president at a U.S.-listed company where she led U.S. generally accepted accounting principles financial reporting and supported an initial public offering and high-yield debt offerings. Erin’s career began as an auditor at KPMG Vancouver.
