Paul Winton

Paul Winton is a Partner at KPMG LLP where he serves as the firm’s Assistant General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer. In the role, he provides KPMG with legal advice and strategic guidance on all matters related to regulatory and professional compliance. This includes privacy and confidentiality, freedom of information, anti-spam, lobbying, international sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money-laundering, competition law, securities law, conflicts of interest, rules of professional conduct and codes of ethics, professional standards, licensing, and registration.

Paul is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing regulatory and professional compliance programs and policies involving more than 50 regulators and professional bodies worldwide. He also leads internal investigations and represents KPMG in respect of external investigations related to regulatory and professional compliance.

Paul is a graduate of Osgoode Hall and the Schulich School of Business at York University.
