Notice of Intent – Extension of PSAB’s 2017–2021 Strategic Plan

PSAB extended the end date of its current 2017–2021 Strategic Plan by one year to March 2022. This will provide the Board with more time to review and assess the impacts of COVID-19 on its strategic direction. Comments on this extension can be submitted by September 30, 2020.

Media Release – PSAB Leadership Change

PSAB is undergoing a leadership change. Current Chair, Charles-Antoine St-Jean, was named CPA Canada’s new President and CEO, effective July 20, 2020. Taking his place as interim Chair is current PSAB Vice-Chair, Clyde MacLellan. The search for a permanent Chair will commence shortly.

New IPSASB Exposure Drafts on Revenue and Transfer Expenses

IPSASB released Exposure Draft (ED) 70, Revenue with Performance Obligations, ED 71, Revenue without Performance Obligations, and ED 72, Transfer Expenses. The three EDs introduce new approaches for some of the most significant transactions of public sector entities. Canadian stakeholders can send comments to the IPSASB until November 1, 2020.
