PSAB extended the end date of its current 2017–2021 Strategic Plan by one year to March 2022. This will provide the Board with more time to review and assess the impacts of COVID-19 on its strategic direction. Comments on this extension can be submitted by September 30, 2020.

PSAB approved a revised Employment Benefits project plan at the June 26, 2020 meeting. IPSASB released Exposure Draft (ED) 70, Revenue with Performance Obligations, ED 71, Revenue without Performance Obligations, and ED 72, Transfer Expenses. The three EDs introduce new approaches for some of the most significant transactions of public sector entities. Canadian stakeholders can send comments to the IPSASB until November 1, 2020.
