Kenneth (Ken) Leung is a Managing Director at the Accounting Policy Division of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institution (OSFI).

He leads a team of Chartered Professional Accountants who monitor developments in accounting and auditing standards and evaluate how they effect Canadian federally regulated financial institutions. He was also a Director of OSFI’s Horizon Risk Surveillance and Risk Surveillance and Sector Oversight divisions, where he led teams researching current and emerging risks affecting the Canadian financial system.

Ken represents OSFI on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s (BCBS) Accounting and Audit Expert Group, and has served as an OSFI representative for BCBS’s technical working groups on audit and regulatory capital disclosure.

Before joining OSFI in 2008, Ken held various roles at CIBC in Internal Audit, Treasury Finance, Card Products, Corporate Development, and Commercial Banking. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche in Assurance & Advisory services.

Ken is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Ontario) and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois, U.S.A.). He has an honours bachelor of administrative studies from York University.
