About Compilations of Future-oriented Financial Information Reference Group

The Compilations of Future-oriented Financial Information (FOFI) and Pro Forma Reference Group, comprised predominantly of representatives from the user community, provides advice to the AASB on its project to develop a Canadian Standard on Related Services (CSRS) for compilation engagements on FOFI. This new standard will replace Assurance and Related Services Guideline (AuG) 16, Compilation of a Financial Forecast or Projection.

Roles & Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the Reference Group include providing:

  • views on the direction of the proposals to facilitate effective development of the new standard; and
  • perspective on challenges with preparing and using FOFI, and how these can be addressed in the new standard.

Meetings

The Reference Group meets privately approximately 5-6 times a year.

Membership

The Group consists of:

  • four users of compiled FOFI or pro forma;
  • a preparer of budgeted information; and
  • a practitioner from the public sector.
