Evangeline Colman-Sadd was appointed Auditor General of Halifax Regional Municipality in October 2016. Evangeline leads a group of performance auditors, providing independent assurance examining municipal programs and entities. Prior to her appointment as auditor general, Evangeline spent 22 years at the Office of the Auditor General of Nova Scotia in various audit and management positions.
Evangeline was a member of the Public Sector Accounting Board Assets Task Force. She has volunteered with various committees at Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia. Currently, she is the Board Chair of the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, and a board member with Health Association of Nova Scotia, and Igility.
Evangeline obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 1998.
