The Auditing and Assurance Standards Oversight Council (AASOC) is looking for new members! We need prominent members of the Canadian business community to protect the public interest by overseeing the auditing and assurance standard-setting process.
AASOC is an independent, volunteer body that the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now CPA Canada) established in 2002 to serve the public interest by overseeing and providing input into the activities of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) and the Independence Task Force of the Public Trust Committee.

Candidates from Quebec or from Eastern Canada are particularly encouraged to apply.
