Livestreaming – Public Sector Accounting Discussion Group Meetings

The Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) believes in inclusivity and is
committed to the ongoing enhancement of its communications with stakeholders.

As a result, PSAB has decided to livestream the meetings of the Public Sector Accounting Discussion Group.

We want to ensure that PSAB stakeholders across Canada can attend, no matter your availability and budgets.

About livestreaming

Livestreaming allows us to broadcast the Group’s meetings live.

Most importantly, it allows our stakeholders to observe the meeting online from the comfort of an office, home and anywhere else you may be. All you need to do is ensure you have a stable internet connection and audio capability on your computer or mobile device to watch and listen.

Virtual observers tuning into the Group meeting via livestream will see and hear the discussion of Group members, as well as both the audio and visuals of any external presenters, in real-time along with in-person observers.  The timing of the livestream is adjusted to accommodate PSAB’s Western Canadian stakeholders.

Benefits of attending a Group meeting as an observer

Hear first-hand:

  • discussion of accounting issues that are affecting the financial reporting of public sector entities; and
  • debates and approaches to emerging public sector accounting issues or issues that PSAB has identified as important for public discussion.

For CPAs: This meeting may be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. We encourage you to connect with your CPA provincial body regarding potential CPD hours.
