Major projects move ahead – PSAB releases documents for comment on its Conceptual Framework, Reporting Model and International Strategy proposals
May 28, 2018. PSAB released several documents for comment on topics that will impact stakeholders for decades to come. We want to hear from you! Statement of Principles – A Revised Reporting Model for the Canadian Public Sector
May 28, 2018. Weigh in on proposals for a new reporting model! PSAB has issued a Statement of Principles proposing a revised reporting model for the Canadian public sector. Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their responses by November 28, 2018.

Statement of Concepts – A Revised Conceptual Framework for the Canadian Public Sector
May 28, 2018. Proposed new concepts for the Canadian public sector! PSAB has issued a Statement of Concepts proposing a revised conceptual framework and it wants your input. Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their responses by November 28, 2018.

Consultation Paper – Reviewing PSAB’s Approach to International Public Sector Accounting Standards
May 28, 2018. This Consultation Paper introduces the criteria PSAB will use to make a decision on its future international strategy and illustrates the application of the criteria through four possible options. Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their responses by September 28, 2018.

PSA Discussion Group Meeting Agenda – June 4, 2018 LIVESTREAMED!
May 11, 2018. The Group will discuss a number of topics, including PSAB’s proposals for a revised conceptual framework and reporting model for the Canadian public sector, PSAB’s international strategy Consultation Paper, public liability claims and municipal lot levies. Submit an Issue – PSA Discussion Group
March 27, 2018. The next meeting of the Group will be held in Toronto and accessible via livestream on June 4, 2018. Individuals are encouraged to submit issues relating to the application of the PSA Handbook by April 20, 2018.

Volunteer Opportunity – Public Sector Accounting Board
March 23, 2018. AcSOC is seeking new members to appoint to PSAB! We have an immediate need for candidates who work in municipal government (applications due April 30, 2018). Longer term, we are also seeking academics, auditors, financial statement preparers, not-for-profit sector professional, other levels of government, economics, and others!
