NEW! Livestreaming – IFRS® Discussion Group June 21, 2018 Meeting
The Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) believes in inclusivity and is committed
to the ongoing enhancement of communications with stakeholders.
As a result, we are providing access to our IFRS® Discussion Group June 21, 2018 meeting via livestream!
We want to ensure that our stakeholders across Canada can attend, no matter your availability and budgets.
Livestreaming allows us to broadcast our meeting live.
Most importantly, it allows stakeholders to observe the meeting online from the comfort of an office, home and anywhere else you may be. All you need to do is ensure you have a stable Internet connection and audio capability on the computer or mobile device you use to watch and listen.
Virtual observers tuning into the Group meeting via livestream will see and hear the discussion of Group members, as well as both the audio and visuals of any external presenters, in real-time along with in-person observers.
Please note: The working language of the Group is English and the physical location of the meeting is in Toronto, ON. For stakeholders tuning in from other time zones, you will be able to watch the already-completed meeting sessions via recording on that day by registering for the livestream as well. There is no need to wake up early to watch in real-time. A week after the meeting, the archived audio recording of the full discussions will be available on our website.
Benefits of attending a meeting as an observer
The Group discusses accounting issues to raise awareness of challenges arising from the application of IFRS® Standards.
- accounting issues related to IFRS Standards that could be relevant to your organization; and
- insightful tips on analyzing accounting issues from an expert group of individuals sharing their own views.
Please note: Comments made by individuals at the meeting do not purport to be conclusions about acceptable or unacceptable application of IFRS Standards. Only the International Accounting Standards Board or the IFRS Interpretations Committee can make such a determination.
For CPAs: This meeting may be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. We encourage you to connect with your CPA provincial body regarding potential CPD hours.
