Annual Reports

Transparency and communication are important to you – and so they are important to us.

Our annual reports comprehensively describe our activities in the previous financial year – April 1 to March 31. We want to ensure that our stakeholders know what we did – what we achieved, projects and other initiatives we started, who we met with, and many other activities.

Each of AASOC’s significant initiatives in 2017-2018 balanced continuity and continuous improvement:

  • starting in 2016, we began a joint review with AcSOC, our sister council, that progressed through 2018, focusing on our operating practices, our Terms of Reference, our definition of the public interest, and our membership;
  • we recruited several new members, strengthening our Council with diverse representation – small practitioners to investors, regulators to preparers; and
  • we welcomed a compensated AASB Chair, Ken Charbonneau, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D, to offer long-term leadership to the Board.
