November 24, 2017. Ken Charbonneau, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D, was appointed by AASOC as the new AASB Chair, effective April 1, 2018. Recently retired from KPMG as Partner, Assurance, Ken has more than 40 years of business experience to bring to his new role.

AASOC 2016-2017 Annual Report – Reflecting on the Past for a Better Tomorrow
August 21, 2017. The theme of this year’s Annual Report was inspired by the reflection AASOC undertook as it reached its 15th year since inception. The Council took time to consider what’s best for its stakeholders moving forward, and saw the culmination of a number of initiatives.

June 8, 2017. Canada’s Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as its next Chair, for an initial term of up to five years. This is a remunerated, part-time position and will require a commitment of 1,000 hours per year. Applications are due July 31, 2017.
