NEW! Livestreaming – Accounting Standards Oversight Council March 1-2, 2018 Meeting
The Accounting Standards Oversight Council (AcSOC) is committed
to carrying out its oversight role with transparency and inclusivity.
As a result, we are providing access to our upcoming March 1-2, 2018 meeting to our stakeholders via livestream.
We want to ensure that AcSOC stakeholders across Canada can attend, no matter your availability and budgets.
Livestreaming allows us to broadcast our meeting live.
Most importantly, it allows stakeholders to observe the meeting online from the comfort of an office, home and anywhere else you may be. All you need to do is ensure you have a stable Internet connection and audio capability on the computer or mobile device you use to watch and listen.
Virtual observers tuning into our meeting via livestream will see and hear the Council’s discussions, as well as participants making presentations to us, in real-time, along with in-person observers.
Please note: The physical location of the meeting is in Toronto, ON. For stakeholders tuning in from the west coast, you will be able to watch the already-completed meeting sessions via recording by registering for the livestream as well. There is no need to wake up early to watch in real-time.
Benefits of attending an AcSOC meeting as an observer
- reports from the Accounting Standards Board and Public Sector Accounting Board;
- discussions of up and coming accounting issues affecting public, private and not-for-profit organizations in the private sector, and governments and organizations in the public sector; and
- current status of our oversight activities and input we provide to the Accounting Standards Board’s and Public Sector Accounting Board’s strategic direction and activities to ensure the public interest is considered.
For CPAs: This meeting may be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. We encourage you to connect with your CPA provincial body regarding potential CPD hours.
